The C.E. Miller Ranch is a family-owned and managed cow-calf operation.  Ranching in the Chihuahuan Desert region of Texas with an annual rainfall of thirteen inches is always a challenge.  In this dry climate, we use progressive grazing management and innovative business strategies to be excellent land stewards and protect the native wildlife.

The ranch is home to mule deer, pronghorn antelope, aoudad, and javelina.  Mountain lions, bobcats, and coyotes are the main predators.  Clay and Jody Miller were avid bird watchers and recorded over 300 species of birds.  The calls of three quail species: Scaled Quail, Gambel’s Quail, and Montezuma Quail, are heard on the ranch.  Numerous species of hummingbirds delight visitors with their antics during the warmer months.
